Impacts of Data Centers in Oregon

Data centers have quickly gone from a niche topic to a major issue for communities across Oregon, but until now, we haven’t had a clear statewide picture of their impacts. New research from ECOnorthwest shows where data center development is concentrated, what it means for local jobs and public revenue, and how it could affect Oregon’s electricity grid. The webinar will also explore gaps in data transparency and what communities need to make informed decisions about future development. This research was funded by The Lemelson Foundation and conducted through ECOnorthwest’s Center for Nonprofit and Philanthropic Insight (CNPI).
